MEPCO is one of the biggest Distribution Companies of Electricity in the Public Sector serving more than 8.1 Million consumers having 15000+ employees with annual turnover of more than Rs. 300 Billion and consisting of operational area covering 13 districts of Punjab. The Charter of MEPCO is to provide reliable and safe Electric Power Supply to its consumers in its jurisdiction.

The services of dynamic and high calibre professional candidates (male / female) from all over Pakistan for the following C-Level positions are required on contract basis.

Responsibility & Skills:

  • The candidate shall report to the CEO / Board of Directors.
  • The candidate must possess the ability to nurture an environment of opportunity for optimum creativeness, sense of responsibility and accomplishment and must demonstrate expertise to adopt national and international good practice required to turning around the company.
  • The candidate must be thoroughly familiar and have required skills to deal with the economic, business social, cultural, legislative political and regulatory environment in which the company is required to operate.
  • The candidate must have deep understanding and required skills to ensure community relationship essential for the utility’s growth
  • The candidate must have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The candidate must be well familiar with the industry environment possessing sharp business acumen / skills
    and the best managerial practices related to national and international power utilities.

REMUNERATION & TENURE;

  • MEPCO offers market oompetitive salary commensurate with qualification and expenence of candidate
  • The contract will be awarded initially for a penod of two (02) years, extendable upto for a maximum period of 03 x years on satisfactory performance with annual performance evaluation to be undertaken by Ihe Board of Directors MEPCO.

1. 2. The candidates must comply with the Fit and Proper Criteria as laid down under the Public Sector Companies (Corporate Governance) Rules, 2013 framed under the Companies Ad. 2017 and also as laid down under the State-Owned Enterprises (Governance and Operations) Act. 2023.

Applications incomplete in any resped or received after due date will not be entertained and no claim whatsoever thereof will be acceptable. The prospective candidate must be a Pakistani Citizen.

Applicant with foreign academic qualification must furnish HEC equivalence certificate. Candidate should apply only if he I she fulfils the eligibility criteria.

Candidates already serving in Government / Semi-Government Organization / Autonomous Bodies should apply through proper channol with NOC of the respective department issued on its letter hoad required on day of interview.

In case a Government Servant is solodod through competitive process against any such position, he/she shaN either resign from his/her service or seek early retirement from his/her parent organization before joining against any such post m MEPCO. No officer shall be appomted against these posts on deputation or lien in any case.

Candidates shall be required to produoe all original documents at the time of interview. Only shortlisted candidates will be caned for interview. No TA / DA in this regard wi be admissible.

Candidates Dismissed / Terminated from any organization or having criminal record shall not be eligible. A declaration on non-judicial stamp paper of Rs. 1007- to above effect should be provided by the selected candidate.

The applications submitted by the candidates will be at the risk and cost of the applicant. Any information found bogus at any stage, during induction or later in service, will result m termination of candidature or employment thereof.

Age relaxation as per policy in vogue m MEPCO has already boon included in above mentioned age limit and no further ago relaxation wi be granted in any case.

The above-mentioned position is purely contractual in nature, non-pensionabte, no long-term benefit and shall not be converted into permanent position at any stage.

On selection, the candidates shall submit at the time of joining an affidavit dedanng their non-involvement in any other relevant bus*iess / job which may tantamount to conflict of interest The appointment will be made subject to fulfilment of al oodal / legal / administrative formalities.

In case of any false/ forged information provided in the application, MEPCO reserves the right to disqualify a candidate at any stage and the costs incurred will be recovered from the applicant. MEPCO reserves the right to quash / cancel the whole recruitment process at any stage without assigning any Reason
