University of Peshawar MS/MPhil & Ph.D. ADMISSIONS Fall 2023. Revised Admission Notice of MS/ M.Phil. & Ph.D. for the Session 2023-24

ELIGIBILITY FOR MS/MPhil
i. Relevant Masters degree / 4-years education after intermediate (130 Credit hours), with a minimum CGPA 2.5 in Semester System or 2nd Division in the Annual System.
ii. Candidates must have passed GAT (General) conducted by NTS with at least 50% marks.
ELIGIBILITY FOR PhD
i. Candidates having MS/MPhil 18 years education with a minimum CGPA 3.0 in Semester System or 1st Division in Annual System.
ii. Candidates must have passed GAT (Subject) Test conducted by NTS with at least 60% marks.
COPIES OF THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTS TO BE ATTACHED WITH APPLICATION FORM:
i. Degree and Transcript for Masters (MA/MSc) / BS 4-Years for admission to MS/MPhil programs.
ii. Degree and Transcript for MPhil / MS for admission to Ph.D. programs.
iii. NTS GAT (General) Certificate (Result) for MPhil/MS.
iv. NTS GAT (Subject) Certificate (Result) for Ph.D.
v. Character Certificate issued by the institute last attended for MPhil/MS & Ph.D.
vi. 2 recent passport size photographs
vii. CNIC and Domicile
viii. Original documents to be presented for scrutiny before the Admissions Committee of the respective
departments/institutions/centers at the time of the interview.
Applications on the prescribed form, available at the United Bank Limited (UBL), University Campus Branch on cash payment of Rs.1000/-, for admission to MS/MPhil (Research and course work based) and Ph.D. program Session 2019-20 (Fall Semester) in the following disciplines are invited as per details below:

IMPORTANT
A candidate having valid GAT-Subject or GAT-General Score Card is not required to appear in the said test to be conducted by NTS on 05 October 2019. He/she shall submit the Valid Score Card with his/her Ph.D./MPhil/MS Admission Form.
Only those candidates will be considered for admission whose results are duly declared/notified by the Controller of Examinations on or before 25.09.2019.
Candidates employed in any Government or Semi-Government Department/Organization must submit No Objection Certificate from the concerned Department/Organization before Provisional Admission.
Provision of hostel accommodation will be subject to availability of seat and shall not be claimed as a matter of right.
If found ineligible in scrutiny, the candidate shall not be allowed to appear in the Interview even he/she has qualified the GAT (Subject)/GAT (General) Test. Further, if the candidate appeared in the interview and later found to be ineligible for any reason, his/her admission will be canceled at any stage.
In case of ambiguity about eligibility, the opinion of the Graduate Studies Committee of the concerned department will be considered s final.
All the HEC/University of Peshawar rules/regulations shall be applicable to the admitted scholars.
The University reserves the right to make changes in any program/admission procedure/regulations when and where deemed necessary.
